CENTRAL PARK is an animated musical comedy about the quirky Tillerman family who lives in a rundown castle in New York’s most famous park. Owen, the father, manages the park. His wife, Paige, writes fluff pieces for a weekly newspaper but really wants to write about serious topics. Daughter Molly loves drawing comics and also has a crush on a boy;  emotional son Cole is obsessed with animals.  Their lives change dramatically when East Side entrepreneur Bitsy Brandenham plans to buy  land in Central Park and  construct high-rise condominium apartments, shopping malls, and restaurants. The Tillermans must now put aside family issues and focus on one awesome goal:  how are they going to save Central Park?

Why Stream This Series?
At the time of this writing, many of the public parks, restaurants,  cinemas, and Broadway theaters are partially or completely shut down. Central Park is so vibrant, alive, and uplifting, that it’s a perfect antidote for the quarantine blues. On the other hand, it’s an exhilarating series to watch even in the best of times.

Whether you enter Central Park for a birthday barbecue or just to read a book in the midday sun, you leave feeling like part of a community. That sense of civic pride suffuses this delightful animated comedy. It’s also a musical, cast with Broadway and Disney veterans and studded with original tunes that juxtapose heartfelt emotion and bathroom humor. The park where homeless people sleep on benches surrounded by multimillion dollar dwellings can’t help but look like a metaphor. So who better to defend the democratic soul of that public space than a dorky, multiracial middle-class family for whom it is a haven?
