Info

Mark A.Landis was the only son of a globe-trotting military officer and a mother with a love for the finer things. Mark was institutionalized as a teen, diagnosed as schizophrenic, and not given much hope to lead a productive  life. But he had a talent for flawlessly copying works of art. He was an unusual, eccentric forger. Rather than sell his forgeries, he became a philanthropist, donating them as originals to appreciative museums around the country. Trouble would come  when Matthew Leininger, at one such museum, became aware that Mark’s paintings were fake. Leininger was determined to expose Mark. Leininger is not deterred even though he is informed by the FBI that Mark was not a criminal since no sales were made, no money exchanged hands.
