Info
MLK/FBI explores the investigation and harassment of Martin Luther King, Jr. by J.Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI. The film follows a chronological path starting with MLK in the early sixties when he was politically active to 1968 when he was assassinated. Hoover feared that MLK’s significant influence in the civil rights movement was gaining momentum. Hoover attempted to discredit MLK by collecting dirt about his relationships with other women and philandering lifestyle. The documentary became shocking as FBI documents were declassified and made available to the public. MLK/FBI includes never-before-seen archival footage, clips from film and television, photos, and interviews with people who were there.
