Soon enough we’ll know if they succeeded. Caro and Gottlieb also worked together producing the monumental book about New York urban planner Robert Moses. Between the two there was friction and battles, even arguing whether to use a colon or a semicolon. Despite personality clashes they managed to produce perhaps the best biographies of two great men.
