Pride & Prejudice

Drama | English | 127 minutes

During the late 18th century, Mr. and Mrs. Bennet and their five daughters, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty, and Lydia,  live at Longbourn, an estate in rural England. Since Mrs. Bennettley moves nearby. At a local society ball,  Jane and Bingley seem to connect while Elizabeth finds  Mr. Darcy attractive but also very snobbish. The Bennet sisters also meet the dashing Lieutenant Wickham. Eventually, with great effort and stress as is typical in an Austen novel, Jane accepts a marriage proposal from Bingley and Lydia runs off and marries Wickham. Darcy, who has alienated Elizabeth with a few false steps, apologizes. Walking the moor, Darcy proposes marriage and Elizabeth accepts.
