Why Stream This series?
The Night Manager was written by John Le Carre in 1993. For 23 years film companies have tried to develop the novel into a movie. They all gave up.  The plot was too detailed and complex to do in a 2-hour+ movie. The BBC agreed. So in 2016, the BBC adapted the novel into a 6-part film series. The awards and accolades the series received proved  the BBC was absolutely right.

Nearly everything about THE NIGHT MANAGER works, from the high-powered cast to the gorgeous locales. And it’s thematically dense, as le Carré and Bier examine the games people play with each other to get what they need, and how far they are willing to go to deceive for the greater good.

This may be the peak TV era, with hundreds of shows in dozens of genres, but thanks to THE NIGHT MANAGER we now know what we’ve really been needing: a sexy, sleek, international espionage thriller with the brains of a John le Carré novel and the seductive allure of a James Bond movie.

The BBC has gone all James Bond with Le Carré. The spy writer’s 1993 novel has been updated and sexed up. I’m not complaining.
