Here’s one thing the pandemic has done: It has given people a taste of what it’s like to stream films at home. The theatrical experience will still be around. It’s not going to die. But, there will also be a realization that some of the best films being produced can only be seen on a digital platform. And that is especially true of film series. My prediction: The future will not be an “either/or.” People will enjoy both the theatrical experience and the streaming experience, probably in equal doses.
