Drama | Persian with English subtitles | 93 minutes
In Iran, female fans are forbidden to enter the soccer stadium to watch the championship match between Iran and Bahrain. A girl, disguised as a boy, slips into the stadium but is caught. She is put in a holding pen where she joins other women who were apprehended. The women are guarded by young soldiers who seem perturbed the Iranian government should have such an unreasonable prohibition. One sympathetic soldier watches the stadium through a peephole and gives the girls a commentary of the game and the scoring. During the game’s second half, the girls and the soldiers board a bus taking them to the Vice Squad headquarters. While on the bus, they hear that Iran beat Bahrain 1-0. Celebrations erupt on the streets of Tehran and the bus is grounded. The girls and their guards join the celebration putting aside the fact they might be disobeying Iranian law.
