Fireworks Wednesday

Drama | Persian with English subtitles | 102 minutes

Mozhdeh and Morteza are a troubled couple as they attempt to salvage their marriage with a vacation to Dubai. They hire a maid, Roohi, to clean the apartment. Roohi becomes aware  the friction between the couple is Mozhdeh’s suspicion that her husband is having an affair with Simin, a divorced neighbor. Mozhdeh  forces the reluctant Roohi to serve as a spy and pick up any dirt about her husband. The truth emerges when Morteza meets Simin during a fireworks display professing his love. Surprisingly, Simin rejects Morteza telling him their relationship is over; it will only mean trouble. A troubled Roohi discovers the truth. After some painful soul-searching, Roohi must  decide whether  to inform Mozhdeh.
